Our Organisation

Founded in 2022, our organisation is proudly shaped and led by people with lived experience of the justice system. At least half of our Board of Trustees and the vast majority of our staff and volunteers have a criminal record or a close family connection to the justice system. We know from our own lived experience that the support we offer is needed.

We believe everyone has the right to turn the page and begin their next chapter — and we’re here to support them.

Next Chapter Scotland became a registered charity regulated by OSCR in 2023.

The charity has continued to grow in reach and impact since then.  Please read our annual reports to learn more about our structure, growth and development.  We are continually thankful for the work, insight and dedication of everyone who supports, advocates, funds, works and volunteers for us.
